Good times, Bad times

you know I’ve had my share…

Good times - I just got back from a trip to Dallas with M to meet Amma. It was a very good experience for me and really helped my interior landscpape. I got Darshan twice and can’t begin to tell you how cool it is. The flight was good, the food was awesome and I totally wanna do it again next year.

Good times - I finally got Supramax (my rogue) leveled to 80 and I’m really diggin’ the end game aspect of WoW. Running raids and instances now, farming rep and gear with groups is really fun. It seems like there are no limits to the game.

Good times - As you all know I have been in a realationship with Mush for a little over a year now. I have had the most wonderful times and she has opened my eyes to the world around me and taught me many things. We have lived and laughed and always treated each other with the uttmost respect. She is my best friend ever and will always be.

Bad times - Mush and I broke up last night. I want more of a realtionship than she is able to give and that’s ok. I respect her honesty and will always love her deeply. I hope that we will remain the best of friends thoughout the years as no one could ever fill her shoes. It hurts really bad but I’m sure that i will be able to get a grip on the pain and feel better shortly.

Stop the peeing

…in public, damn it!

So here’s the deal. I pick up the GF from work last night and as we leave the building there are two guys loitering around the dumpster and one of ‘em is just standin’ there pissin’ on the HVAC while the other starts asking questions about Bindu. I mean, wtf?

So, tonight I clock out and leave the building. I walk out to a running car with 2 guys in the car and the third one just standin’ there pissin’ on the dumpster. Yep, two nights in a row. I mean, wtf?

Not more than two hours later, I pull up at Apex and there’s ANOTHER one standin’ there pissin’ on the dumpster! As I get out of the car, he laughs and says some shit like “Man, you caught me but I really had to go.” I replied, “It must not be a big deal cuz you’re the 3rd one I’ve seen pissin’ in the last 2 days.”

I mean, wtf?

So what’s the deal here? You’re killin’ me! Stop it! Has this become some kind of a fad? Is peeing in public cool or something? Whatever the case, knock it off! I don’t want or need to see it…

An epic week

in which I’ve been having hella fun…

Let’s rewind to the 17th. I took a 4 day vacation for my Birthday and started off with a round of golf with Caddy out at the Wildhorse Casino & Golf Resort. One of my favorite corses to play. It’s a beautiful and well managed course and priced right. I think it was 41.00 for 18 holes and a cart. We had a blast and I played pretty well despite the amount of beer I consumed.

The following day I took Teh GF to the Couer d’ Alene Resort over in Idaho for the weekend. We had a gorgeous room with an awesome view of the mountains and lake. A really nice place to hang. We had cocktails and some really good foodz there and took a quick trip down to one of the local casinos just to goof off for a bit. The drive was really nice, too and we both really needed a break from the daily grind and all. Good times. We came back on Sunday and just chilled for the rest of the day. I took Mush home later that evening cuz she had to work in the morning. I played some WoW fora bit and then headed to bed.

The following day I had a Tee Time at the WW Country Club to golf with Ray, the owner of the P&E. He offered to take me out cuz I’ve been trying to play that course for more than 10 years. We blasted off at 1:15 and got around the course in just under 4 hours. It’s a really nice course and I’m looking forward to playing with him again in the future. Thanx Ray! You Rock!

I made it through the week and now my weekend is here. Tonight we are having a BBQ over at Teh GF’s house in celebration of my Birthday and a house warming for JayRob. I’ll be grillin’ dead animals and drinking beer in a couple of hours. w00t!

I have a couple of days off and will tackle some more of the yardwork. Alot to do around here and it just isn’t gonna get done unless I do it.

Is it Spring yet?

in which I’m totally digging the warmer weather…

It looks like our Winter has decided to leave and in comes Spring. It’s about time! The last few days have been much warmer and I’ve noticed that my lawn is starting to grow. I’m totally ready for it. We had a pretty bad Winter this year. Massive snow and it seemed like it would never go away. But now it’s looking great. Gonna have to buy a new lawn mower though as my old one died last summer. Lot’s of yard work to do as well but I’m ok with that and I certainly need the excersise.

I wanna get some serious golfing in this year as I didn’t play much last season. I’m trying to book a stay and play package over at Wildhorse for my Birthday next month and will have Caddy come over to play and bring the GF along for sure. Just hope that the weather holds up and doesn’t decide to rain or anything.

I went out with Mush last night to the P&E. Took her Bro and ran into alot of my old friends there. It was really nice to see so many of them in the same place at the same time. Miss those guys. Anyway, we had a blast and gotta hammered on Vodka before we decided to leave and hit Taco Hell up for a drunken bedtime snack. Gotta love or uh, hate that shit. lol

Looking forward to my weekend so I can sleep in and be a slug. God I love to just lay around and do nothing sometimes.

Work is slow today and I’m about an hour from quitting time. Gonna swing by the GF’s and probably head to my place for the night. No tanking for this kid, it’s my friday and I’m toast. Maybe watch some BBC and snuggle on the couch. That’s good with me!

OMG…a post

I know, I know…

Thought that I had better sit down and get something out here since I haven’t posted since last month. I always think about it but never seem to just do it. Everything here has been good. No complaints. Life just seems to roll along and next thing ya’ know it’s the middle of February.

I’ve really been enjoying the new PC. I just can’t tell you how nice it is to have some kick-ass gear up in the hizzie for a change. It just rocks! I haven’t had any troubles with Vista at this point other than it seems to relentlessly beat the shit out of my hard drive for no apparent reason. Haven’t quite figured out what process it is that causes it. May be Windows Defender or the indexing service. Not sure, but I can live with it for now as long as it keeps up with the WoW content. It’s all about the FPS and I haz lotz!

The weather here is starting to look more like Spring and less like Winter. I got to the golf course a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome. Looking forward to some golf as I didn’t play much last season. And with Spring will come yard work. Getting all the flower beds cleaned out and get the yard whipped into shape again. I’m gonna try to stay on top of it and do up it up right.

I took a look in the garage and found several item that I can Ebay off. I have a lot of spare high performance car parts that I’m just not using and probably never will if I haven’t used them by this time. So, I pulled 5 or 6 of them out and gonna setup some auctions and take the cash and buy a new pool cue. I’m looking at one of the new Cuetec cues. I’ll post a pic as soon as I get it.  I used to shoot a lot of pool and played league for a couple seasons back in the day. I shoot well. Srsly.  The owner of the P&E just put new felt on his table and it’s really rollin’ nice. He plays well and there are a couple of others that are pretty sharp, too. I don’t really mind shooting with a house stick but give me the real deal and it’s lights out.

I’ve been totally getting with the whole Bento Box program and really diggin’ then food instead of grazing on nasty-ass frozen shit out of the freezer every day. I’ve got two boxes now and getting some bento supplies to help with assembly. Now, if I can get used to getting up a little earlier to pack the damn things. I really don’t like mornings, they’re just too damn early!

Tonight I’m taking the GF home and we’re gonna have a tostada feast and maybe watch some cheesy Sci-Fi or maybe some BBC. I think she has a couple of netflix movies but I’m not sure what they are. Not that it really matters, cuz as long as I’m with my baby, I’m happy!

PC upgrade complete

and I’m totally diggin’ it…

Alright, I got all of my parts last week and did the build over the weekend. I went with a EVGA nForce 730a Motherboard, AMD 64 X2 6000+ 3.0 ghz dual core proccesor, Rosewill varialble speed 92mm heatsink and cooling fan, 4 gigs of DDR2 RAM and a sweet EVGA 9800 GT video card. I also have anoth 2 gigs of RAM sitting on the shelf just in case. Let me tell ya’, this system freakin’ rocks! I gutted my old can Sunday around noon, assembled the new gear and had a desktop within a couple of hours. Smooth upgrade to say the least. Not a hickup one. I installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit, slapped in SP1 and did all the Windows upgrades. Oh, and DirectX 10. So far so good. Not too sure about this whole Vista thing but I’m likin’ what I’m seein’. I ran a benchmark test and came up with 74 fps at the highest possible settings. w00t! Also, the CPU temp idles at 19c and only 36c under a full load. Super cool running machine!

At this point is was time to install WoW and put it to the test. Loaded up the basic WoW, the Burning Crusade and then Wrath of the Lich King. Downloaded and installed all of the latest patches and i was off and running. I’m getting no less than 60fps in all areas including Northrend and frame spikes as high as 72fps. Un-fucking-real! So, it looks like I will stop leveling my Druid (Weedbgone lvl20) and get back to capping my Rogue (Supramax lvl76). At this rate, Supramax will be at 80 in no time and will then start farming honor for PVP gear. I just got on board with the guild <Krawler> and hope to do some raids/runs in the near future.

Anyway, I’m super happy with the new build and looking forward to some lag free gaming. This was my smoothest upgrade to date and all for 308.00…w00t!

Lemme Lemme Lemme upgrade

in which I groan and agonize over my new PC upgrades…

Last week I purchased a new video card for my home PC and when I installed it I soon found out that my MoBo didn’t have enough balls to run the new card.  So, instead of shipping it back I decided to shop for a new board and chip combo. I looked at several and decided to go with this one.  It’s out for delivery now and I’m super excited to get it. BUT, after looking closer at the specs it seems that I do not have an ample power supply to run the new board with the new card. My current power supply is 450 watts, which is enough juice but it doesn’t have the 24 pin power connector, (just the old 20 pin) that the new board needs as well as the 8 pin lead to the board beacuse I went with AMD instead of Pentium. Soooo, It looks like I will be buying a new power supply in order to get the thing up and running. <Sigh> What started out as a simple video card upgrade has now turned into a complete overhaul. I’m sure that I’ll be happy with the new build but OMFG does it have to be this difficult? I will also be going to Vista Ultimate 64 bit which will allow me to run DirectX 10 and run up to 8 gigs of memory. It’s gonna rock.

1st post of 2009

I know, it’s about time…

Well let’s see. For New Years Eve, the GF and I went to Portland to party with Adam and Adrienne. the drive over was fine, we swung by their place to change close and then headed out on the town for drinks. We basically did a pub crawl up and down Alberta St. and went back to base-camp before passing out around 4 in the morning. I had a fucking blast! The next morning or afternoon, we went for some foods and then walked around downtown Portland. The drive home was a little hectic due too massive rain and I mean massive. My wipers could barley keep up with it and visibility was next to nil at times but we made it home safely. Couldn’t of had a better time and will look forward to going back over for more fun in the near future.

Back in Walla Walla, it’s the same ol’ same ol’. Plenty of snow to deal with in which I’m totally sick of shoveling. I thank God that most of it has melted off for the time being. We have been getting a lot of rain and some flash flood warnings here and the surrounding areas. I think we’re going to have a rough Winter, unlike the mild Winters that we’ve had over the past 10 years or so. Oh well, a nice change of pace I suppose.

Work has been fairly slow this Holiday season. I too have slowed down and I’m currently revamping my sales game for the new year. I felt like I was burning out towards the tail end of ‘08 and now I’m lighting a fire under my ass to start the year off right. New workstation, renewed enthusiasm and cutting down on the smoking is a good start. I want to back off on the eating too as I feel like I’m growing to epic proportions. God knows I need it. lol

In other news, I just bought a new video card for my home PC because my old card just isn’t keeping up with all of the new and taxing content that WoTLK has to offer. I’ve been getting massive lag during game play and can’t take it any longer. I should see the new one this week sometime. Supramax will be slicin’ and dicin’ soon with frame rate to spare. w00t!

I joined a bowling league that plays every other Sunday night up at Bowlaway. Kinda filling in for Jayrob while he is doing other things. I play with M’s Uncle Dave, his wife Reva and a guy I went to school with back in the 90’s. Averaging 160 pins for the time being and hope to improve. Having a lot of fun and that’s the main thing.

Well, that’s about all I have for now. I’m getting ready to go have a cocktail with Mush and then gonna get a good nights sleep.

Hello 2009…

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year. I will be going to Portland tonight with Mush to party with Adam and Adrienne. Should be good times. We will be returning to Walla Walla sometime tomorrow. Will give you all an update at a later time.

Post Christmas report

it was awesome…

For the past several years I have always done all the cooking and hosted Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. So, this year I did the Thanksgiving dinner but told my family that I will be spending Christmas with the GF and her family. I guess that i just wanted a break from it all and my Sister and family stepped up to do the whole dinner thing.

I woke up Christmas morning, got cleaned up and then took Momsie up my Sisters place and dropped her off for the day. Left my gifts, wished everyone a Merry Christmas and headed over Gma’s. I had a really good time just being a guest for a change. We had a wonderful dinner and opened gifts, (I got a really cool USB Tardis hub from Mush and some food stuff from Reva and Dave) watched a movie and spent some time with JayRob in the basement checking out our WoW characters and sippin’ some Jameson wiskey.

It was really a white Christmas for us here in Walla Walla. We had about 2 feet of snow on the ground and some blue sky’s in the morning. Simply beautiful.

As for my family, they got along just fine without me as I knew they would.
